The item I ordered is on backorder with no time frame as to when it will be sent, so I am surprised that I received this email.

I hesitate to buy shoes on line, since I can't try them on, but these, when they did come, were absolutely perfect. And I can't complain about HS's notications about the delivery delays--they both emailed and wrote and gave me a chance to cancel the order.
I think it's interesting the variety of products carried, and the variety of prices. I can't imagine ordering a PT boat online, nor can I imagine the shipping charges! On the other hand, the shoes I bought were as reasonably priced as I could get them at a local mall. I do hate shipping charges, by the way.

This company delivers their products when they say, and they do what they are supposed to.

This is my first order.

I live in Canada. I could have purchased this product here but decided that since Hammacher Schlemmer had brought it to my attention via its catalogue, I had an ethical responsibility to order it from there. The item is a tower-type floor fan with a very quiet motor and a built in thermometer. What I did NOT know from the blurb in the magazine [learned it from the instruction booklet] is that if I had bought it in Canada, the temperature guage would have been in Celsius. Instead, I'm stuck with a guage showing temperature in Farenheit. This is NOT the end of the world but it IS annoying.

first order wait on another one or two

Purchased a walking liberty coin wrist watch. Very unhappy with the quality of the obverse (top) side of the coin. I expected wear on a 80 yr. old coin but this was very excessive. Face of the coin is very dirty, almost black. Cleaning of the coined used would have made it much more acceptable. The reverse side is nice and the watch was obvously made from two different coins.

I am pleased the baby item I ordered turned out to be availoable after all. I am extremely displeased that the gift item was erroneously sent to me instead of to the specified recipient. I am finally getting it to UPS today due to long, long teaching hours. I amnot pleased either, aboout paying twice for shipping!
Everything's great EXCEPT for one thing: The number of characters on a gift message are not specified. Consequently, customer wastes time on multiple tries. It is also unclear whether numbered lines for gift message are available for one message or reserved for multiple messages. In my case, I had to cut the word "beautiful" from my message to my new baby grand-nephew, and I am not at all happy about that fact. C'mon, even florists give more characters on messages!

Received product but won't need it for another month so haven't tried it yet.
